You’ll Never Believe This but Maybe You Will

It’s been a crazy week. The day before I left for a 2 week vacation to visit family & friends in Arkansas, I found out my ex (soon-to-be) was laid off of his job. I have no job myself. Between us we have enough money for 3, possibly 4 months of living expenses. It’s a strange sensation. Sort of like free-falling, but ever so slowly and with no idea when or on what I’ll land.

I’m applying for jobs like crazy, hoping something will stick. At the same time, I feel a calmness. Somehow, I’ll be taken care of – somehow this thing will work out and my children and I will be ok. I’m not sure what will happen, where I will end up or how long this thing will last, but I know eventually all will be well.

If you happen to know of someone needing something crazy, like an apartment manager, in Little Rock or Dallas – or perhaps a position with the Democratic party – or if O Magazine is hiring (mega-dream), let me know. Until then, I’ll keep you posted.

Welcome back!
