My Goals for One Year
Over the weekend I blogged about planting a rose garden – doing those things for myself I had once waited on someone else to do for me. (It really is a good thought. If you haven’t read it, I encourage you to do so.)
To that end, I’ve been thinking about what I want to accomplish for myself over this next year. I’ve come up with several ideas. Some are musts. I must get those things done. Others are things I would like to do – not necessary for anything other than the fact I would love to have/do those things. So here are the lists:
Must Do
- Get a job.
- Become the healthiest, most fit me ever. (I’ve lost all that baby weight. It took two years. Now I want to drop a few more and tone up. I also want to eat healthier on a daily basis.)
- Incorporate Yoga into my daily life again. (At one time, I woke up EARLY, did the 5 rites, meditated/prayed, exercised & did yoga DAILY. I want to get back to a regular yoga practice.)
- Pick one of the languages I’ve studied & brush up my knowledge. I’d like to be conversational in another language again. I want to be able to say something beyond asking for cognac & cigarettes at the disco, which is what my high school Spanish teacher taught us and what stuck with me. Quiero un cognac. Prefeiro cigarillos. !Vamos a discotheque!)
- Work on my novel daily or at least 5 days a week.
- Start a solid savings plan and pay off any credit card debt.
- Become comfortable eating alone in a restaurant.
- Buy or pick a regular floral bouquet for myself.
- Begin reading more classical and modern-to-become classic literature.
Nice-to-do
- Take a vacation.
- Buy myself a beautiful piece of expensive jewelry.
- Treat me & a friend to a fabulously expensive meal in an upscale restaurant.
- Take an acting class.
Ok. One year. Let’s see how I do!
Aww I didnt see me on your list of things to do. Dont you want to come to Michigan and meet me??
Cheri
LOL – well I did mention a vacay but Michigan wasn’t quite what I had in mind. *grin*
But I know it would be fun to meet you IRL!
