There isn’t a day that goes by I’m not racking my brain for possibilities for income. I spend considerable time daily researching job postings, filling out applications, sending in resumes and otherwise considering my options.

Today as I was holding my sick child, the thought of earning money while at home sounded very appealing. In fact, I’m sitting next to him as I type this. I remember a time when I had to take sick time or vacation to take care of my son when he was sick. It wasn’t fun and broke my heart when I couldn’t be there.

I’d heard several years ago Amazon.com has an associates program. As I started rolling the thought around in my head, I realized I didn’t have anything to lose to try it out. So, as you may notice, there are new links and banners throughout the site, as well as a new page, ‘Pampered Woman’.

We’ll see how well this does. I also took an old domain, Tawnya’s Toys, and set it up as a new blog, reviewing children’s toys and products, announcing recalls, etc. I just set it up this morning so content so far, is not extensive. I added an affiliate store to this as well, ‘Tawnya’s Toybox’.

Please do me a favor and give those news endeavors a look-see. If you have any tips or hints, ideas or other feedback, please let me know. And if you are in the market for children’s toys, books or beauty products, stop in & shop awhile!

In this economy, I don’t think it hurts to investigate one’s options. What think you?
