Catching Up and Happy New Year

Wednesday, December 31st, 2008

I have spent the last week and a half with no internet. It has driven me crazy, yet at times I enjoyed the silence.

Basically, I jumped at the chance to live in the ‘house of my dreams for now’ when it came available at a price within my budget. It is twice the space, beautiful, great neighborhood and about the same price I was paying for my old ‘tin can’ as I used to call it.

All this happened just days before Christmas. Can you imagine not even planning on moving and the very next day finding out that you will move in less than 3 days!! And you still have to do all the Christmas stuff, wrap presents, re-decorate, etc., etc.???

It was crazy. I got a mild concussion from a fall during it all. My husband broke his finger. BUT – we did it and yes, it was worth it.

Now that I’m back online I will have to start posting regularly again and get caught up. If I haven’t been to your blog in a while – give me time. My reader has 1000+ items to dig through.

But blessings, peace and prosperity to you in 2009. Happy New Year!!

Welcome back!

Hearing the Call – My Pledge to Sensuality

Monday, December 8th, 2008

A week or so back, I posted about wanting to really squeeze the most out of life. I’ve been thinking a lot about this and thought it best if I bring an expert in to the conversation. Usually this blog is all light and fun, fluffy air. But this – this is more important to me. It’s more important than groceries or cheap meals; more important than stupid jokes and diet pills. This is about how we live our lives, how we improve – about not letting missed opportunities slip through our fingers. It’s about not accepting any less than the best of what we can be and have.

The following resulted from a series of email conversations with Mr. Pauwels concerning this desire to make change, to get the most out of one’s life. (more…)

Whole Lotta Shakin Going On

Friday, December 5th, 2008

Ok, ok. I know. I haven’t posted much this week. But it’s what’s been going on behind the scenes that counts. For one, I upgraded to WP 2.6something. Yes, WordPress 2.7 is out/nearly out. I’m just not moving fast. But that upgrade took time out of my limited schedule. Time I would have spent twittering blogging.

10 For Tuesday

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

After a week off, we’re back with more juicy tidbits you never knew you wanted to know. This is your invitation to be voyeur into my life. And – like always, reciprocity is even more fun. Show me yours and I’ll show you mine!

  1. I modeled for a while. When I was 4. :)
  2. I went to prom with husband #2. See picture below. I would have posted a picture but it appears my scanner is not compatible with Windows Vista. (Ugh!) We reunited through classmates.com when I was online reading about my 10 yr reunion. (more…)
