Obama, Honorable & Presidential
I read in the NY Times today that Obama thanked McCain for reminding people that we can ‘disagree while still be respectful’.
In every situation I have seen or read about, Obama has been nothing put polite, personable, respectful, calm and cool-headed. From stories in the Rolling Stones about his campaign leadership style to articles in Times, Newsweek, US News & World Report – I read of his ability to lead in with a calm, soothing style. I read of his ability to bring people together and to see something from both sides of the issue and help people come together.
In short, I read how he is a leader whose style is needed and necessary in these turbulent times. I wish I could say the same about McCain but I can’t. While he served our country well, I have heard too much of his temper to feel comfortable, much less my disagreement with him on several key issues.
